Make a block. Pick a classic block or add a blank one. Choose a patch
shape, select Fabric A or B, then pick colours from the palette. Paint by clicking or
dragging.

Explore a whole quilt. Choose rows, columns and an arrangement, then
use “Repeat across quilt”. All instances of a block update when you paint it. Place
different blocks, rotate individual squares, and adjust the border.

Try the design board. Choose tools from the floating toolbar at the
canvas’s top-left. Move blocks freely, sketch with the pencil, or add notes. Shift-click
or drag over empty space to select a group. Select one block and make a repeat group to
create linked copies.

Keep your work. Your workspace saves automatically to your account when
signed in, or in this browser as a guest. Open the Save menu to save a named account
copy, download an editable project, or export pictures.
Fabric photos, variations & cutting
Open Tools → Fabric previews to upload and scale a fabric image. Tools → Automatic
variations shows alternatives to try. Creation guide in the top toolbar brings together
fabric quantities, cutting templates, illustrated block lessons and quilt assembly. Saved
projects include your fabric photos and settings. The creation guide automatically shows
uploaded fabrics on right-side pieces, including in its complete download and print/PDF
output. Pale shapes indicate the wrong side.
Keyboard shortcuts
Ctrl/⌘ S: save workspace (guests download JSON). Ctrl/⌘ Z: undo. Ctrl/⌘ Shift Z or Ctrl/⌘
Y: redo.
F: mirror selection; R: rotate selection. With no canvas selection, F mirrors the active
block and R rotates the next painting patch. D or Ctrl/⌘ D: duplicate board selection.
Delete/Backspace: delete board selection. Ctrl/⌘ A: select the whole board.
V: select; B: stamp blocks; H: hand/pan; E: erase; P: pencil on the board; N: notes on the
board. Space + drag: temporarily pan.
Pinch with two fingers to zoom or move the canvas. The zoom slider, percentage and Fit
button sit above the canvas. Each workspace keeps its own view. G: grid; M: rulers; + / −:
zoom; 0: fit design; ?: help. Arrow keys move a board selection; Shift moves it further.
Shift-click adds to a selection. Drag empty board space to highlight a mockup, then
right-click to save just that design.
Stamping over an existing board item drags it. Quilt stamping fills empty squares; Choose
Replace, or Alt-click, to deliberately replace an occupied square. Ruler labels follow the
configured finished block size. A standard 160-unit board block has that width; resized
blocks scale proportionally. Dots may become further apart on screen when zooming out,
while snap spacing stays fixed.
Keyboard users can Tab to patches and quilt squares; Enter or Space uses the current tool.
Canvas exports show finished geometry. For full-size cutting templates with seam

(PDF).
